In which I try to catch-up from a busy summer - part III

This is the 3rd and final installment of the "great summer catch-up 2009".

At the end of August we enjoyed our annual trip to Lake Powell. Although we didn't to stay nearly long enough, we still had a B-L-A-S-T!

We arrived on Friday, late afternoon. After checking-in to our hotel (yes, we wimped out this year-no tent on the hot beach), we headed to the beach and Rowanna's family (Matt's sister). The rest of the evening was spent swimming, lounging, sandcastle building and having an amazing dinner. Being able have a shower after such a day was heavenly. Seriously! It changed my entire outlook on the Lake Powell experience!

On Saturday, after a yummy Denny's breakfast, we headed back to the beach. What a terrific day! Lots of swimming, a lazy boat ride where Mattie took a nap, and time to visit with family. My favorite part is getting in my floaty and going where the water takes me (within reason). It is LOVERLY! We headed home late in the afternoon on Saturday and stopped in Kanab for a yummy dinner at this great little restaurant (we will be going there again).

We pulled in late Saturday night, took showers, and fell into our beds. It was short but totally worth it! Thank you Keith and Rowanna for another great year at Lake Powell!
